Ana Maria Oliver and Claudia Velez receive new roles
FORT MYERS, Fla. (Jan. 20, 2025) – DeMine Immigration professionals Ana Maria Oliver and Claudia Velez shift positions in the new year, a display of their versatility and commitment to the firm and its clients.
Each woman is on a different path, one back in a role especially familiar and one in a role with brand new beginnings. Both are able to support one another along the way as they adjust with poise and professionalism.
Oliver started at DeMine Immigration as supervising paralegal in 2022 and later transitioned to the office manager position in 2024. As she returns to the role of supervising paralegal, she is able to utilize her extensive expertise and background to once again lead the operations of the firm’s paralegals, legal assistants and interns.
“This opportunity allows me to focus on improving our case management processes and providing strong support to each member of our incredible legal team,” said Oliver. “I’m really looking forward to working closely with all of the team to achieve our goals and continue making a positive impact for all our clients.”
Oliver is able to come back to the supervising paralegal position with additional experience in management, which has provided a seamless transition from not only being able to demonstrate her strengths of successful office oversight, but legal leadership.
“Ana Maria brings extensive expertise in immigration law, complemented by her years of experience practicing as an attorney in Colombia,” said President Indera DeMine. “Her strengths include exceptional organizational skills, a keen ability to identify challenges and implement effective solutions and a deep understanding of legal principles. We are thrilled that she has resumed the role of supervising paralegal.”
Velez previously worked as the client support supervisor for a year and a half, where she displayed attention to detail, leadership and commitment in all of the cases that she worked on. This makes her perfectly suited to oversee the firm’s daily operations and as office manager, Velez will play a pivotal part in this, especially throughout the Downtown Fort Myers office.
“I am very excited for the opportunity and I am very thankful to Indera and Tom DeMine,” said Velez. “I hope to continue to make a difference in our clients’ lives through my new role.”
Outside of the office, Velez also practices real estate as a broker. She has 25 years of experience in selling homes. This professional venture has given her an unparalleled ability to network and promote DeMine Immigration in the Southwest Florida area, which will be an asset to the manager position.
“Claudia's exceptional communication skills, strong leadership qualities, calm demeanor under pressure and extensive experience managing her own business make her perfectly suited for her new role as Office Manager,” said DeMine.
Both of these women have contributed significantly to DeMine Immigration Law Firm in their tenure. No matter which positions they occupy, they remain diligently dedicated to success and this is evident through their aspirations that are geared toward future growth.
